Houska Castle is a pretty scary place!

Houska Castle is a castle about 47km away from Prague in the Czech Republic. It was built in the 12th Century, mainly as a means of keeping out monsters. Yes. You read that right.

According to legend, there's a massive hole underneath Houska castle, which stretches forever. It was, and allegedly still is, the gateway to hell. So because everybody was so scared, they built a castle on top of it.

But that's not all!

They also decided to investigate the hole. So they lowered prisoners down to have a look. The first "victim" of this screamed to be pulled back up after just a few seconds. When they did, his hair was white, and he'd aged many years. He died within two days.

Now, I don't know how real all of that is. But I heard some of this on Most Haunted Live, which prompted me look research it some more. For more information, look here, or just do a Google search. It's an interesting little castle. What do all of my clearly-existent-readers think about it?
