Think Floyd

I went to see a band last night called Think Floyd at Chelmsford's Civic Theatre. For those who don't know, they are a Pink Floyd tribute band who are "regarded as the UK's number one" when it comes to Pink Floyd tributes.

Anyway, from quarter to 8 until it finished at about... half 10ish, we were treated to songs from the beginning of Pink Floyd's career to the end. And it was all very good.

Apart from one thing.

Having finished their set, we left to the not-so-brilliant music of the Scissor Sisters. And of all the songs they could have chose, the Scissor Sister's cover of Comfortably Numb was playing. I'm not sure if there's a better way of insulting the music they'd spent two and half hours playing than by playing that.

HOWEVER! Despite that little - snag - Think Floyd played the original music brilliantly, and I would recommend them to anyone. Well, anyone who's into Pink Floyd.
